CURLING: Team USA advances to semifinal at World Wheelchair Championship in Russia

NEWS ADVISORY: Team USA will play in the semifinal of the 2013 World Wheelchair Championship in Sochi, Russia, at 10 a.m. CT today after defeating China, 8-4, this morning in the Page 3-4 game. Sweden defeated Canada, 6-5, in the Page 1-2 game and moves on to the gold medal game. The winner of the semifinal meets Sweden in the final. The losing side will play China for the bronze medal.
 
Team USA includes Patrick McDonald (Madison, Wis.) and teammates David Palmer (Mashpee, Mass.), Jimmy Joseph (New Hartford, N.Y.), Penny Greely (Green Bay, Wis.) and Meghan Lino (East Falmouth, Mass.). They are coached by Steve Brown (Madison, Wis.).
